On February 2nd 1997,
our father John Morritt opened the doors for the first time as Wine Not Peterborough on the corner of Charlotte and Park Streets.  Three months later, after achieving our B.A.'s from Trent University Jennifer and I joined Dad in his winemaking endeavour.

Over the next 8 years using high quality grape juices and concentrates supplied to us by RJS Craft Winemaking, we focussed on perfecting the wine making processes and strove for great customer service.  Our mom joined us in 1999 and as a family, we collaborated and passionately worked hard to continue to grow our business.

In 2005, we left the Wine Not franchise and excitedly launched
The Wine Shoppe on Charlotte. 
Over the next 7 years, the Shoppe continued to thrive and Jennifer and I took over management of many aspects of the business as our parents stepped into part-time roles.

Following our parents' retirement in 2012,
Jennifer and I purchased the perfect building for our growing business 
and on July 3rd 2013,
we opened our doors at the corner
of Park and Brock Streets as
The Wine Shoppe on Park.
